Sunny weekend beautiful April yard sale greatness

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

For those that know me, we are the yard salers when the weekend strikes and today of course the man with the golden fingers (my son) finds goods..He can turn anything into $$--I mean that.  LOL and I stand there with, well, uh, 75 cents of clutter for the house!
I think I will stop taking him (kidding) or when he is driving, open my door and go (also kidding)...It is a fun and frustrating struggle, but beans to him, he is great at it! I guess he did not inherit that from me!....oh wellll.....

I guess there is no way to get around things in the medical world..I thought I had a stone in the duct from my symptoms after gallbladder surgery, but they call and say there is none...and onto an endoscopy next Wed.  It seems you start with something you never knew there was a problem with and viola! there comes more problems!  Well, God is perhaps teaching me patience~~~ if only I could use duct tape:

If you can't fix it with duct tape you haven't used enough

Happy Week and I just seen the first season mosquito!

Love this time of year, but the reminder of bugs is here again and alas we must put up with a few things!  we have a zapper that the kids think is quite the rave!!   those little dudes blow up!
On another note my hubby just tore something in his leg and it doesn't look good, maybe a calf muscle and I pray for quick recovery.  He will need crutches for sure as these baseball bats are NOT doing it! lol rednecks are us.
Some days there is 'excitement' and some days not so much, but God is always there no matter what and how great that is to know in whatever we face.

Your laugh of the day (and this applies to any age!!) haha
Senior AAADD - Do you have it?
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table,
put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table,
and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back
on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think,
since I'm going to be near the mailbox
when I take out the garbage anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table,
and see that there is only one check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study,
so I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.
I'm going to look for my checks,
but first I need to push the Coke aside
so that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Coke is getting warm,
and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold
As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke,
a vase of flowers on the counter
catches my eye--they need water.
I put the Coke on the counter and
discover my reading glasses that
I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk,
but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter,
fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I'll be looking for the remote,
but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,
so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,
but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers,
but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.
So, I set the remote back on the table,
get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to
remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:
the car isn't washed,
the bills aren't paid,
there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter,
the flowers don't have enough water,
there is still only 1 check in my check book, !
I can't find the remote,
I can't find my glasses,
and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today.
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all stinking day,
and I'm really tired.
I realize this is a serious problem,
and I'll try to get some help for it,
but first I'll check my e-mail....
Do me a favor. (if you can remember)
Tell this to your friends and warn
them about his disease!

The Bible is the most-shoplifted book in the world.
The only domestic animal not mentioned in the Bible is the cat.
In a century's time Islam had converted one-third of the world.
Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair.
After age 30, the brain begins to lose about 50,000 neurons per day - shrinking the brain .25% each year. (GREAT!!!)

Thursday thoughts ....

Interesting....
A statue of Jesus Christ that its builders say will be the largest in the world is fast rising from a Polish cabbage field and local officials hope it will become a beacon for tourists. The builders expect to attach the arms, head and crown to the robed torso in coming days, weather and cranes permitting.
Standing on an artificial mound, the plaster and fibre glass statue will stand some 52 metres (57 yards) when completed, taller than the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer with outstretched arms that gazes over Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Polish officials say.
The actual statue will measure 33 metres — Zawadzki has said this reflects the fact that Jesus died at 33, according to Christian tradition — and weigh 440 tonnes.

KEEP Married!!!  Divorce IS bad for your health!!
A Chicago study involving 8,652 people aged 51 to 61 found divorced people have 20% more chronic illnesses such as cancer than those who never marry. Whereas marriage tends to bring an immediate health benefit, in that it improves health behaviors for men and financial well-being for women.
But remarriage does not heal all.
She said: "Some health situations, like depression, seem to respond both quickly and strongly to changes in current conditions.
"In contrast, conditions such as diabetes and heart disease develop slowly over a substantial period and show the impact of past experiences, which is why health is undermined by divorce or widowhood, even when a person remarries."

For the face, she swears by this calorie-free daiquiri facial: "Puree overripe strawberries, add a dash of lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar, then apply to face and leave on for two minutes..
